Humidity, the amount of water vapour present in the air, can significantly impact the behaviour and performance of various materials. Understanding how materials react to humidity is vital for ensuring their durability, reliability, and overall quality. Thus, we at Presto have designed a high-quality lab testing instrument known as a humidity test chamber. This is one of the high-quality lab testing equipment that will accurately test the humidity conditions of the materials and ensure that quality materials will be delivered to the customers.
Exposure to high humidity levels can cause materials to absorb moisture, leading to dimensional changes, warping, and degradation. By subjecting materials to controlled humidity conditions, manufacturers and researchers can evaluate their resistance to moisture absorption, preventing potential failures and ensuring long-term stability.
In this blog, we will discuss a brief about the humidity testing chamber and how this quality testing equipment works efficiently in testing the humidity of the materials. So, let us get started!
Purpose of conducting humidity test on materials
Humidity testing helps in understanding the impact of moisture on material strength and mechanical properties. Moisture can weaken structural integrity, especially in porous materials or those prone to corrosion.
Testing allows engineers to determine the effects of humidity on different mechanical parameters, providing insights into material behaviour under real-world conditions.
The main purpose of conducting a humidity test on the materials is to ensure that the materials will effectively be assessed for the change in physical properties of the materials.
You can easily eliminate the moisture of products by testing them in a humidity chamber.
Testing the physical properties of materials against humidity is vital for assessing moisture resistance, understanding mechanical behaviour, evaluating electrical reliability, and optimizing thermal performance.
By conducting these tests, manufacturers and researchers can develop more robust and reliable materials, leading to improved product quality and customer satisfaction.

Now, let us discuss the working of the Presto humidity testing chamber.
Working in a humidity testing chamber
To conduct a humidity test on the materials, one can easily follow the steps mentioned below:
-
Firstly, you can install the machine minimum clearance of 1.2 m from the wall is required as well as in front for easy opening of the door.
-
Turn ON the machine. If the “Water level low LED” glows on the control panel then, it is required to fill water in the water reservoir present at the backside of the chamber.
-
Prepare the testing specimen and close both doors appropriately.
-
Once the specimen will be placed accurately, then you can easily commence the test.
In this way, you can easily operate the machine and commence the test. Just give us a call at +91-9210903903 or email us at info@prestogroup.com. Our team of technical experts will consult you regarding all your needs and queries.
