Scope This standard state the equipment, the procedure to be used in conducting the neutral salt spray test for assessment of the quality of coatings made in accordance with the requirements of the coating or product specifications. It does not specify the type of test specimen, the exposure period to be used for interpretation of results. Such information is provided in the appropriate coating or product specifications.
