Presto hot tack tester is the best testing device that quantifies the hot tack seal quality and ensures that you will deliver quality products to your customers. This testing device has user-friendly controls which makes it easy to operate for users. To test the specimen, you need to first place this testing machine e on the flat & leveled surface. After that, you can connect the air source with the pressure gauge through the pressure inlet port. Using the pressure regulator and pressure gauge, maintain the required pressure for conducting the operation. To operate this testing machine, you need to prepare the sample first. For this, you can take the sample that the user needs to test. Place the template on the sample which is provided by the machine to cut the sample firmly.

You can turn on the machine by plugging the main socket of the machine into a 3 pin 15 amp electrical socket. Turn ON the “Main ON” Rocker switch from the control panel. Ensure that the Pneumatic Assembly is in its initial or home position. If Not, Turn the “Motor Movement Rotary Switch” to the Left to move the assembly to its home position. SET the Pneumatic pressure using a pressure regulator up to 2kg/cm2. When the machine is Turned ON, both the PID controller will show some readings on the PV (Process Value) and SV (Set Value). Set the SV value on the left PID temperature controller for the left heater. Similarly, set the SV value on the right PID temperature controller for the right heater. Set the test duration timing on the digital timer. After setting the pressure and the temperature, open the left clamp by rotating the knob and place the left end of the sample at the respective position by maintaining the center. Now tighten the left knob to clamp the sample firmly. Similarly, open the right clamp by rotating the right knob and placing the right end of the sample at the respective position by maintaining the center. Now lock the right knob to clamp the sample firmly. Also, place the sample between the heating jaws. Turn the Main ON Switch of the Load Indicator. Load Indicator will show certain values on the display. Press Reset and Tare button to set the Load Indicator to zero. The machine can be set on Normal Mode through a Toggle switch to perform only the Heat Seal Test and Hot Tack Test Mode to Perform Heat Seal and Peel test Together. Turn the Machine to “HOT TACK TEST” using a Toggle Switch.

After you set the load indicator, temperature, and timer, turn the heater ON by pressing the heater ON switch. Press Test Start Button and the load indicator will start showing some values. Commence the test with the given values or reset them accordingly.

Are you looking for the best testing instrument for testing the hot tack and heat seal performance of plastic films or laminated films? If yes, then we suggest you go with the Presto hot tack tester that is considered to be the top testing device that is used to test the heat seal strength of the materials. If you are working in the packaging industry, then this testing instrument is best for you. This is because checking the heat seal integrity of packaging material is vital and demanded to be tested as low-quality hot seals create issues. In the production line, the contents are dropped into the bag soon after the horizontal seal bars get opened. If the content loaded inside may have a heavyweight then the hot seal packages must be strong enough to withstand the high loads. Therefore, you can easily make use of the Presto hot tack tester to test the quality of tack-testing. With the increasing demand for flexible plastic pouches in the food, medical, and pharmaceutical industries, the demand for this testing machine has also been increased. This testing machine is used for the tension, peel, shear, and other test items for adhesive tapes, laminated films, plastic films, adhesive, paper, and other flexible materials.

You can easily make use of this testing instrument for performing different tests. You can easily evaluate the hot tack performance of materials such as plastic films, sheets, and composite films, PET, PP, and composite films that are used in packages for instant noodles, milk powder, washing powder, food, and drugs. The heat seal performance testing is used in plastic films, sheets, and composite films whereas the peel strength is used for adhesives and adhesive tapes.

The machine is finished in Autumn Gray & Blue combination painting and bright chrome/zinc plating for providing a corrosion-resistant finish. The equipment provided with Instruction Manual, Electrical Wiring Diagram & Calibration Certificate traceable to NABL approved Labs. You will find user-friendly controls which make the device easy to operate. If you are going to perform the hot tack test, then it is very important for you to identify the properties of the polymer. The structure of polymer will create a huge difference in the behavior of polymer type. You will also get a difference in the behavior of sealant. Thus, the performance of polymer with hot tack and strength seal may also vary. While preparing your flexible packaging film, it is very important for you to select the right sealant as it is helpful in deciding the behavior of the packet during the filling process. The shorter will be the dwell time, the better sealant quality you will get. But the shortened dwell time may also result in weak seal strength. Thus, you need to create a balance between both.

With Presto hot tack tester, you can place the specimen on this testing device without worrying about the specimen slippage. Easily make use of a hot tack strength tester to provide a quality seal of items to your customers.
